MOMBASA, Kenya—Renowned Coast journalist and radio personality Gladys Kadzo Ziro has died after a long battle with a chronic illness.
Ziro, a celebrated media personality from Kilifi County, died on Saturday, August 29, 2026, after her health deteriorated, according to information from her family.
The broadcaster had been battling lupus, an autoimmune condition, for several years and had reportedly stepped away from her work at Bahari FM, a Coast-based radio station owned by Royal Media Services (RMS), about two years ago as she focused on managing the condition.
