NAIROBI, Kenya — Passengers travelling through Kenyan airports have been warned to expect delays to some departing flights after the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) reported disruptions to flight operations.

In an advisory issued on Sunday, KAA said some departing flights were being affected but did not disclose the number of flights delayed or provide details on the cause of the disruption.

The authority said it was working with aviation agencies, airlines and other stakeholders to manage the situation and minimise the impact on passengers.

“KAA is working closely with the relevant aviation agencies, airlines, and other stakeholders to manage the situation, minimise disruption, and facilitate the smooth flow of airport operations,” the authority said.

Passengers have been advised to contact their airlines directly for the latest information on their flights and to plan their journeys accordingly.

KAA did not announce any flight cancellations in the advisory, saying it was continuing to work with the relevant stakeholders to contain the disruption.

The authority urged travellers to confirm their flight status with their respective airlines before heading to the airport.

“Further updates will be provided as the situation develops,” KAA said.
