ABUJA, Nigeria—British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure during a trip to Thailand, with a UK coroner ruling that complications from the cosmetic treatment caused a fatal pulmonary embolism.

Ubiribo, 43, who was also known online as Denisi and Ego, died in Bangkok in the early hours of March 6, 2026, but the circumstances surrounding his death emerged publicly this week following an inquest at the Inner West London Coroners’ Court.

The inquest heard that Ubiribo had undergone a cosmetic penile enlargement procedure at an unnamed clinic in Bangkok while on holiday with his wife.

Reports on the inquest said about 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected during the procedure, which was intended to increase the size of his manhood.

However, the procedure took a tragic turn shortly afterwards.

Ubiribo later complained of severe chest pain and lost consciousness twice while he and his wife were having a massage. He was rushed by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors suspected that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism.

He reportedly lost consciousness again before a recommended CT scan could be carried out and was transferred to intensive care, where medical staff performed CPR for more than 100 minutes in an attempt to save his life.

He was pronounced dead in the early hours of March 6.

A subsequent post-mortem examination in the United Kingdom found material in Ubiribo’s lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure.

Pathology evidence presented to the inquest linked the findings to a pulmonary embolism, while Assistant Coroner Jean Harkin concluded that the cosmetic procedure had caused the fatal complication.

Ubiribo had built a following on social media through his lavish lifestyle and was known in entertainment circles as “Tiny”, “Denisi” and “Ego”. Reports also described him as an associate of Nigerian music superstar Davido.

His death has now drawn widespread attention following the release of details from the inquest, putting the spotlight on the potentially serious complications associated with cosmetic procedures.

What was meant to be a cosmetic enhancement during a holiday in Thailand ultimately ended in tragedy, with the coroner ruling that the procedure led to the pulmonary embolism that claimed the 43-year-old influencer’s life.
