NAIROBI, Kenya—Football fans across Kenya are set for a thrilling UEFA Champions League finals experience after Heineken and Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) announced a series of nationwide viewing parties scheduled for May 30.

The events will mark the climax of the “Fans Have More Friends” campaign, which was launched in April and has since attracted huge crowds of football lovers in different parts of the country.

According to KWAL Commercial Director Alice Mwalimo, the initiative aims to transform football viewing into a memorable social experience that brings fans together beyond the game itself.

“We want to celebrate football fans across Kenya with unforgettable match viewing experiences in leading entertainment spots as we conclude the campaign,” said Mwalimo.

She said fans attending the events will enjoy live entertainment, curated fan experiences and performances from top Kenyan artistes including Nameless, Femi One, Mejja and Jua Cali among others.

The finals viewing parties will be hosted in major towns including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and Eldoret.

Selected venues include Capital Noir, Quiver Kilimani and Covo Thika Road in Nairobi, Alcapone Nyali in Mombasa, Berlin Lounge in Kisumu, Space Next Door in Nakuru and Baniyas in Eldoret.

KWAL Senior Brand Manager Prudence Mutembei said the campaign has successfully redefined football viewing culture in Kenya by creating spaces where fans can connect and build friendships.

“The campaign has transformed match watching into moments of real connection, moving from just being fans into being friends,” she said.

According to Heineken®, the campaign was inspired by global research indicating that football fandom plays a major role in building friendships and social connections among supporters.

Organisers have also urged fans to enjoy the celebrations responsibly and avoid drinking and driving during the finals night festivities.
